On the 7th of June 2012 Hekia Parata, Education Minister of New Zealand announced that the Government is dropping plans to increase class sizes in State schools.
There has been mass opposition to this move, throughout the country and Ms Parata said “over the past week, it has become apparent that these minor adjustments have caused a disproportionate amount of anxiety for parents, and that was never our intention. We are reversing the decision.”
